Drew grew up in Lexington, KY where he played soccer throughout the youth and high school levels. His family - being from Connecticut - introduced him to lacrosse at an early age. However, with limited teams and players around the Lexington area, he was late to begin playing. He started lacrosse in his Sophomore year of high school at Paul Laurence Dunbar where for 3 years he was a midfielder/face-off specialist and attack-man. He was a varsity captain his senior year while earning 1st team all state honors. After being recruited to play lacrosse in college, he decided to stay in Lexington and attend the University of Kentucky where he played club lacrosse. Upon leaving UK, he started coaching as an assistant with his former high school and remained a coach with Dunbar until 2017. He and his wife Taylor moved to Nashville in December of 2017 to pursue a new IT career opportunity in Brentwood. He joined the Independence high school lacrosse program as assistant varsity coach for their inaugural 2018 season. In 2019, he joined the Brentwood Lacrosse Club program as the Offensive Coordinator for the Middle School Varsity under Coach Catterton.
Drew is a self-described lacrosse junkie and looks forward to great things ahead with the Brentwood Lacrosse Club program.
